Trafford Water Sports Centre

Situated at Sale Water Park, Trafford Water Sports Centre is the location in Manchester for canoeing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, and stand-up-paddle boarding. So come along and make a splash!

Everyone is welcome at Trafford Water Sports Centre. We enjoy hosting Group Bookings, Stag and Hen Parties and Children’s Parties. Please also check out our action packed School Holiday Programme. 

Not only do we offer water sports, we also offer a range of land based activities including archery, rocket launching and navigation.

Water Sports Taster Sessions

 

 

Try kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing or sailing for £35+VAT per person for a minimum of 4 participants. We make sure you’re fully instructed so you can have a great time! Call us to get a quote and book.

 

Launch Your Own

If you have your own equipment, we would still love to accommodate you with our own facilities for launching. Our launch facilities are available during Weekends, School Holidays & Bank Holidays.

Sale Water Ski Club

Open Water Swimming

 

Open Swim UK run 4 sessions of open water swimming every week between May and September at Sale Water Park. Find out more at www.openswim.org.uk

Engine Test

You are also welcome to come along and test your motor boat engines at Trafford Water Sports Centre between 11:00-13:00 during weekends, bank holidays and school holidays. We do allow bookings in advance outside of these times as well.

Third party insurance is required for engine test and cannot be obtained from the water sports centre. This must be acquired prior to engine test at Trafford Water Sports Centre.

Important Launching Information

If you have your own equipment, we would still love to accommodate you with our own facilities for launching. Our launch facilities are available during Weekends, School Holidays & Bank Holidays.

A launch form must be completed on arrival before launching a vessel.

Please note: Buoyancy aids must be worn at all times. All paddle sports are restricted to a zoned area (within Orange buoys). All launching charges include the use of the changing facilities and showers. A manned Safety Boat is available to people launching who are in danger.
