February Half Term at Audley Climbing Centre
Whether it is an afternoon in the week or one of our weekend slots, our 2 hour climbing sessions are just what you need to keep your children active no matter what the weather! Just £11 they will enjoy a range of different climbs and games.
Our sessions are suitable for 4 - 16 year olds!

- Saturday & Sunday: 11 am - 1 pm.

Great place, had a fab evening with our Explorer scouts at the Audley climbing wall. Our instructors Dan & Dawn were brilliant and made the session great fun for all. Can’t recommend enough.

At first, it was brilliant fun for the children under the care of some of the professional friendly (female) instructors 👍 they have learnt so much and are building strong legs and arms. But on the next set of 6 sessions we booked up hoping to continue this, other (male) instructors seemed to lose patience when they were slow to pick up techniques despite them being young and with additional needs. Since it is hit and miss, we'll be going elsewhere from now on.

My daughter Emily and I enjoyed a full day’s group climbing session at the Roaches today with instructor Lucy. We had a fantastic day. We climbed some interesting routes, some a nice warm-up and cool-down and some definitely on the challenging side. Lucy was absolutely great, really friendly and knowledgeable and she chose a great set of climbs to attempt. We’d really like to do this again soon!

Absolutely fantastic! My girls came here tonight with scouts and absolutely loved it! Shout out to Bec who was super patient and kind to my daughter who needed a little more persuading! I highly recommend this rock climbing centre and will definitely be returning in the future!

About Audley Climbing Centre
Audley Climbing Centre, located in the village of Audley, is your ultimate destination for a thrilling and dynamic climbing experience.
Just a short 5-minute drive from junction 16 of the M6, our centre offers a variety of climbing walls with routes that are regularly updated, ensuring that climbers of all levels can continually find new and exciting challenges.
We do offer disabled changing facilities, but please call ahead with any accessibility requirements.

Is there free parking available?
Yes! We have plenty of free on-site parking available right outside the centre.

Do I need to book in advance, or can I just turn up?
We strongly recommend booking all instructed courses and sessions online in advance, as they often sell out. If you are an experienced, competent climber and wish to climb un-instructed, you can turn up, but you will need to register at reception on your first visit.

What are your opening times?
Our opening times can vary seasonally. We recommend checking the "Plan Your Visit" section on this page or Google Maps for the most up-to-date hours.

Is there a café or a place for parents to wait?
Yes, we have a comfortable seating area with a great view of the climbing walls. We also have vending machines for hot drinks, cold drinks, and snacks.

Do you have changing rooms and lockers?
We do. We have changing rooms and lockers available to store your belongings securely while you climb.

What kind of climbing walls do you have?
Our centre is designed for all types of climbing. We have extensive bouldering areas (climbing without ropes), 32 top-rope lines, and 4 auto-belays for roped climbing.

Is the centre suitable for young children?
Absolutely. We're a very family-friendly centre. We have dedicated courses starting from age 4, and our instructors are fantastic with kids. We also host many children's parties.

I'm an experienced climber. Do I need an induction?
If you are a competent climber, you don't need a full induction. On your first visit, you'll just need to complete a registration form at reception and answer a few safety questions with our team to verify your experience.

Can I hire equipment like shoes and harnesses?
Yes. All safety equipment (like harnesses) is included with our instructed sessions. If you are climbing un-instructed, you can hire harnesses and climbing shoes at reception for a small fee.

What should I wear?
We recommend wearing comfortable, sporty clothes that you can move in easily (like joggers, leggings, or shorts). If you don't have climbing shoes, a pair of clean trainers is all you need to get started.
