The Peak Riders and Striders running and cycling shop continues to go from strength to strength and will be moving to new bigger unit on the Trentham Shopping Estate from Friday 29th July, just across from the old shop.
This is great news for the runners, cyclists, and triathletes in Staffordshire as the larger shop will boast an increased range of bike and running brands.
The Trentham Shopping Village based shop, will be selling everything from bikes and running apparel to clothing, accessories and more.
More great brands…
Peak Managing Director Paul Ball said “We opened in September 2020, and despite the Covid pandemic, the shop has continued to grow, to such an extent that we soon realised we needed a bigger store. Having 3 times the space means we can offer a bigger range of brands, and also house our popular Cycle Repair Workshop in the shop instead of offsite.
We have worked really hard to build an engaged customer base and have had some fantastic feedback on our services such as FREE Gait Analysis to help improve people run quicker, along with Bike Fit to help people being more comfortable on the bike. The industry has faced a challenge sourcing bikes; however we have been well stocked with brands such as Focus, Kona and Orange. The shortage of bikes has also led to an increase in demand for Cycle Repair as people want to get their existing bike services.
Paul continued, “The Olympics are also a fantastic time to help boost demand for bikes and running equipment as people are inspired to get active through watching running, cycling and triathlon.”
Bike Repair, now in store!
Andy Gray, Store Manager said. “The team are really excited about the new shop. It means we can stock even more great brands. We are really happy to stock the new Ron Hill range of running clothing, the only shop in Stoke to have Ron Hill. We have a great range of bikes with everything from road bikes, mountain bikes, eBikes and kids bikes in stock. We also have some great running brands including Hoka, Saucony and Asics. We’ve helped loads of runners reduce injuries and run faster with our Gait Analysis and are looking forward to doing even more. Having our Bike Repair workshop on site will mean we can get customers bikes fixed faster to keep our riders on the road. We want to help existing runners and cyclists, but also help people run and ride with local cycling or running clubs through our local club finder.”
Store Mechanic Paul Thorne said “The shop will be offering 3 levels of bike servicing and repair to help keep you on the road if your bikes need some attention. Along with the government Cycle to Work scheme that helps you make savings on new bikes and accessories as an employee benefit. This is great as the scheme aims to cut congestion on the roads, improve the health of the nation and have a positive impact on the environment.”
